EC Duckworth Named to 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for Missouri & Kansas
Mid-Missouri Personal Injury Attorney Recognized for Professional Achievement & Peer Recognition
Duckworth Injury Law is proud to announce that principal attorney EC Duckworth has been selected to the 2026 Missouri and Kansas Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, a distinction awarded to a limited percentage of attorneys who demonstrate professional achievement and peer recognition within their practice areas.
The Rising Stars designation is reserved for attorneys who have attained certain honors, results or credentials, which indicate a high degree of peer recognition or professional competence. According to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in Missouri and Kansas are selected to the Rising Stars list each year.
For Duckworth, a lifelong Mid-Missourian and founder of Duckworth Injury Law, the recognition reflects years of dedication to representing individuals and families injured through the negligence of others throughout Columbia, Jefferson City, Fulton, Boonville, Moberly, Lake of the Ozarks, and communities across Mid-Missouri.
"It is an honor to be recognized by Super Lawyers and my peers in the legal profession. More importantly, this recognition reflects the trust that injury victims and their families place in our firm during some of the most difficult times in their lives."
What Is the Super Lawyers Rising Stars Selection Process?
Super Lawyers utilizes a patented multiphase selection process designed to identify outstanding attorneys in each state. The process includes peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluations. Lawyers cannot nominate themselves and must limit their nominations to others who practice in the same state.
Candidates are evaluated across numerous indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, including verdicts and settlements, professional experience, representative clients, honors and awards, legal publications, community involvement, leadership activities, continuing education, academic achievement, and other professional accomplishments.
The selection process includes peer evaluation by practice area, also known as the “blue ribbon review.” The blue-ribbon panelists are provided a list of candidates from their practice areas to review, rating them on a scale of one to five. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The top 2.5 percent from each state are named to the Rising Stars list.
