Welcome to Duckworth Injury Law! My name is EC Duckworth, and I am the founder and managing attorney of Duckworth Injury Law. My law firm is based out of Columbia, Missouri and focuses on personal injury and wrongful death law. Duckworth Injury Law was created to fight for the great people of the State of Missouri who have suffered serious accidents resulting in catastrophic injury or death. 

I grew up in the Ashland/Hartsburg, MO area, having attended Southern Boone County HS. I then attended the University of Missouri for both my undergraduate and law degrees. In law school I was a member of the Missouri Law Review and ultimately graduated in the top 10 of my class. After law school, I worked for a prominent civil defense firm in Kansas City, MO, learning the ins and outs of how serious injury claims are defended by large corporations. However, I quickly discovered my passion was not in defending claims but was instead in representing victims and their families. As such, I’ve spent the rest of my career to date representing plaintiffs against negligent individuals, entities, and their insurance companies. After working for established personal injury plaintiffs’ firms in both Kansas City and Columbia, Missouri, I ultimately decided to start my own personal injury firm – Duckworth Injury Law – right here in mid-Missouri. 

Duckworth Injury Law is a mid-Missouri law firm focused on advocating and fighting for the people of Missouri. While there is no shortage of law firms to choose from when it comes to your personal injury claim, very few have roots that run as deep as mine do in our community. Mid-Missourians are currently being flooded with legal advertisements from an array of out-of-town lawyers. Oftentimes, these lawyers have no physical offices in our community, have never tried a case in our community, and certainly do not live and participate in our community. As such, these firms often settle cases as quickly as possible without any intention of getting to truly know you, your claim, or your claim’s true value.
